not the smartest idea, wait till they see how much they get relocated now...
After this, it looks like this will probably be the first firehouse our mayor will want to close. ::)

This is a great idea, yes it will probably bring down some heat on them. But they are doing the most important thing which is letting the public know what we really do, and show when their area is not covered. The everyday civilian has no clue what we do and only thinks that we sit in the firehouse until a fire comes, and they think that the only fires that happen are the ones they see on the news. If they do get relocated more, good, it will only help them more. If we get the public behind us and show how much they really do need us, then it will be harder for the mayor to justify in closing so many houses. The public is our greatest friend.

You're right MP1234, knowledgable citizens are your best friends. I was just being scarcastic about our mayor ;).

The Union always wants companies to fill out the OOS forms and fax them to 23rd Street.  28/11 took it one step further and professionally addressed the issue and kept the CB and residents aware that thier first due companies where not in the firehouse.  And the blurb about sufficent coverage is utter BS.  E15, L11, L18 have all been OOS together many times, with no relocators......so that leaves 1 engine in those areas.  Only a fool would think that 9/6, 33/9, and 5/3 can cover thier areas and LES safely.
