EMS Sta 44 Bus Numbers

In support of my modeling efforts, what ambulances - vehicle bus numbers, not radio numbers - are usually running from Brooklyn EMS Sta. 44?

Seems like the vehicle numbers on the Conditions Cars change as new vehicles are acquired, but do bus numbers change or are they more like fire apparatus such that bus # 093 would be replaced by a new bus #093?

Thanks,

I cannot discern any pattern related to vehicle age or assigned location for the actual ambulance *vehicle* numbering scheme.  But, anyway, when did they change from using red numerals to blue on the ambulance bodies?

Thanks,

The newer FDNY ambulances have the shop numbers on them similar to fire apparatus, i.e. FA12123. Ford, Ambulance, 2012, #123 etc. This number is usually at the bottom of the rear patient compartment door and the left side of the hood just above the grill. The shop number does not correlate to the vehicle number found on the upper part of the patient compartment in blue.
