FDNY Plans to Charge for Car Crashes & Fires

It will be interesting to see how they implement this.  Many departments only charge if the person(s) involved are not residents of the jurisdiction.  Obviously if this is the case they would charge for very few incidents.  The reasoning is that residents already pay local taxes were as nonresidents don't so they should pay for the service.
 
Thursday night a city official said, "We are going to search for other ways to shift costs away from overburdened taxpayers and towards accountable parties."

while this makes sense i think that spray for pay is a bad idea. and it would make sense to start doing this with different city agencies that arent emergency agencies.

The Kool-Aid served at 9 Metro-Tech and City Hall must be extra strong. What a bunch of morons..but...we already knew that!!
