Anyone know how many tiller spares are on the books. I know SL9417T (former 147) and SL9418T(former 175) are still being used. Are all the 91s gone.

I don't believe that there are any '91s in use as spares.  Chauffeur training school has a '91 that is still in use at The Rock.  It's seen better days....but I believe it still runs.

I think that's the one that you can't raise the aerial. Strictly chauffeur training.

I remember using the aerial in proby school, but that was several years ago.  I don't think I've seen it doing anything more than tooling around Wards Island.  You might very-well be right.

According to Calderone's 2005 Fire Apparatus book SL 9108 and SL 9111 were listed as spares. The other six were disposed of. 1994 rigs SL 9417 (L147) and SL 9418 (L175) were still on the books. 2000 rigs SL 0001 (L34) was still shown on the books, but 002 and 003 were disposed of. 2001 was assigned to L101 2002 rigs went to L 5-6-20-104-118-106-143-35-40. Hope this fills in some blanks.

SL00002T and SL00002T were lost on 9/11 (Ladders 5 and 6).  The 1999 rigs were also lost, meaning there's nothing between the two 94 spares and the current in-service fleet.
