Firefighter saves 6-foot Python from house fire

Firefighter from Muskegon, Michigan entered the burning structure reluctantly - pulling out a "weighty" 6 foot python. Hemmelsbach said "I would do it for any creature". He says the snake was trapped and was trying to get out of it's glass tank. The snake is OK.  Atta Boy!

Had a fire similar to that about 15 years ago....Large school converted to apartments....Overhauling room on first floor and see a huge glass tank, empty! Needless to say it was time for me to go, lol.  They never did find the snake, always wondered what happened to it.....Supposedly was a 8 ft boa.....
