Quads. 1951 WLF delivered 7 quads. They had a 750 GPM capacity with a 250 gallon booster tank and 250' of 1 " hose with the capability of pumping while moving. The hose bed had a 20 length capacity and also carried ladder company tools. Ladder compliment was 16,30, and 40' extension ladders, 10 and 20' straight ladders and a 12' hook ladder. 2 rigs were assigned as the regular rigs of SI companies while the other five were assigned to engine companies remote from ladder companies. E-96 received one such rig. Info from WOTB by J Calderone.

E 267 received a quad after L 121 moved to Arverne. E 323 had a quad for awhile. I didn't know that E 70 also had a quad apparatus.

Nice photo. From what I remember, the following companies were assigned a quad;

E70, E96, E151, E251, E312 and possibly E321. I'm sure I missed one or two.
  Engine 70 never had a WLF Quad. The original assignments were: L76 and L82, replacing 1926 Pierce-Arrow City Service trucks; E96 (which was a combination co.), replacing a 1947 ALF pumper & 1921 Mack City Service truck; E152, E161, E312 and E251, which was a newly organized company in Glen Oaks, Queens. Later on, one was re-assigned to E267 and another one went to E310 then E323.
