The FDNY fireboat that was formerly designated Engine 77 was the Zophar Mills. The Zophar Mills, an iron-hulled fireboat, was in service from 1882 to 1934 and was stationed at Pier 42 on the North River, according to the New York City Fire Museum. It was also known as Engine 51 during its service. Another fireboat, the Abram S. Hewitt, was also assigned to Engine 77 later in its life, from 1903 to 1958.

Zophar Mills was always and only designated Engine 51 and was so designated at every pier that it was stationed.
Engine 77 was served by the Abram Hewitt, New Yorker, and Wm Gaynor
