Hempstead NY (Nassau) Working Fire 06/20/2022

On Monday, June 20th just after 11:45a, the Hempstead Volunteer Fire Dept was dispatched to a report of an Electrical Fire on Crowell St. Units quickly arrived on scene and found fire on the 2nd floor and a Working Fire was transmitted. Southside Hose 2 and Truck 1 were first due and worked together to locate and extinguish the main body of fire. With the assistance of crews from West Hempstead and South Hempstead, the fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control in approximately 30 minutes under the direction of Chief of Department Sandas. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 1 occupant of the house was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Text courtesy Over The Edge Photography.
