Illinois State Trooper LODD I-294

An Illinois State Trooper was killed Thursday evening on Illinois Rt-294 near the Willow Road exit. He was on the shoulder after rendering assistance to a motorist. He was possibly doing paperwork when a semi-trailer rear-ended his vehicle causing both vehicles to erupt in flames. The trooper never had a chance, pictures of the site show wreckage, you cannot tell it was a vehicle. He was on the left shoulder. Semi's are PROHIBITED from Left lane usage. Prayers to his wife, State Troopers will listen to you and will give you a break.

I had a similiar accident a few years back that killed a NYSP Trooper, RIP too Bob, I didn't forget.
