Just heard of Jerry Sanford passing in Florida. After 9-11 Jerry came back to NYC and worked tirelessly with the FDNY Press relations organizing Funerals etc. In Florida he organized and constructed a 9-11 Memorial in Naples, he taught at their Fire Academy and has the Auditorium at the Naples Fire Academy named for him while he worked as the Public Information Officer. He lived and died a firefighter and one of my first mentors at L-131. God Bless
