Jersey City Fire Department is the 2nd Largest FD in the State of New Jersey. Covers 21 square miles with a population of about 250k Plus. JCFD Runs 15 Engines, 9 Ladders with 2 being Towers, 1 Squad, 1 Rescue, 1 Field Training Officer, 1 Safety Officer, 1 Air Unit Under 4 Battalions & 1 Deputy Chief as the Tour Commander. They have numerous Special Units like USAR Rescue 2, Hazmat 1 & 2, 3 Marine Units, Foam Tender, Quick Response Vehicle, Lumber Truck, Decon Truck, High Rise Tunnel Unit, Mobile Ambulance Bus, Mask Care Response Unit, L3 & L4 are SOC Support Trucks and numerous Spare Apparatus
