Los Angeles, CA- Police Officer Shot/Ambush 06-25-13

Location: Wilshire LAPD station (Mid-City)
Description: (2) undercover officers ambushed while returning to the station by male with a gun. (1) officer shot, (1) injured by breaking glass. Officers returned fire and susect fled. Large manhunt conducted over (25) square block area.

A police officer was also shot in Willimantic, Ct today. Willimantic is about 25-30 miles east of Hartford. He was shot in the arm and is expected to be okay.

He was in pursuit of a suspect who was wearing a bullet proof vest and carrying a high powered rifle. The Connecticut State Police and several mutual aid police depts also responded.
