Thank you

Mack produced their last fire apparatus in 1990.  A number of manufacturers will build a commercial rig on a Mack chassis . . . usually a Granite or Terra-Pro (the new name for the MR-series).  There are a fair number of Granite tankers in use in the midwest and here in Virginia . . . and Ferrara has built several rigs for FDNY in the past several years on MR chassis.

If you really want to be exact, Mack stopped producing fire apparatus in 1984, when the last full CF was delivered to Westbury, NY I believe. They only supplied the cabs like Spartan and HME until 1990, when the last unit was ordered for Yonkers and delivered in 1992, if I'm not mistaken. Since then, having one of their commercial cabs built into an apparatus would be like having a Freightliner or Kenworth cab.
