Mineola NY (Nassau) Truck Fire With Extension 1/1/23

On the night of Sunday, January 1st, 2023, the Mineola Fire Department was called to a truck fire in the vicinity of Windsor Fuel on Windsor Avenue between Roslyn Road and Sagamore Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a tanker truck parked next to a one-story commercial building – the tractor portion fully involved. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid requested. Firefighters immediately stretched a hand line and were able to keep the fire from extending to the structure or tanker portion of the truck.
