New Haven clock factory fire 1989

I'm not sure why they didn't make the rescue from the tower ladder in the 1st place. It was certainly in a better position and would have been a much safer way to make the rescue. It also would've been much quicker. Of course determining operational effectiveness from somebody who was not at the scene is always easier.
