New 10-codes:
10-27 - Compactor or Incinerator Fire, no extension from compactor/shaft
10-31 - Assist civilian - non-medical calls/incidents handled by other agencies
10-37 - Assist civilian - CFR/medical
- code 1 - victim deceased
- code 2 - victim not breathing or suffering from other serious life-threatening condition
- code 3 - victim is breathing, no immediate life threat
- code 4 - both EMS and FD units are 10-84, FD makes no patient contact but operates (i.e. using apparatus to block traffic)
10-45 - Assist civilian - Fire-related injury - to be transmitted instead of a 10-37 for all injuries as a result of fire. A Battalion Chief should be notified and requested on a 10-45.
The codes were actually changed in March, they were just put on hold until they could be programmed into the computer.
