18 years of age or older. Current NYS DOH EMT certification. Ability to pass medical and physical exams. Don't remember if they are still doing psycological exams. Current driver's license. Background check. Don't recall anything else at the moment although I'm sure there is. As for the Civil Service exam may I suggest you check the DCAS web site and pick up the weekly edition of "The Chief" newspaper.
