New York City Police to Use Drones on ‘Certain 911 Calls’

In coming months, drones will supplant police emergency response in the Central Park precinct, in three precincts in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx. It’s not yet clear the types of calls on which the drones will be used.

I'm praying there going to use this like FHP does down in Florida with video calling. So RMP's aren't tied up on minor traffic accidents that don't need FD or a bus. Staten Island has been doing this for a while.

For the record, I don't mean Staten Island has been doing this for a while as in there using drones, I mean that they haven't been sending RMP's to minor accidents in a while.

Unless a party reports injuries, NYPD doesn't send an RMP, that's a citywide policy.
