December 1, 2023 is the 65th anniversary of Chicago's Our Lady of the Angels School fire in which 92 children perished. Because of this disaster many safety improvements came about, such as better designed buildings, enclosed stairways, fire resistive materials, and sprinklers and automatic alarm systems.

A very tragic day indeed that many of us will never forget.

Many of us here were school children then attending school.
