RIP Fdny Dispatcher 123 Mike "Yak" Yackanicz

Condolences to the family and members of the FDNY Communications Division and members out in the field
 
REST IN PEACE BROTHER....PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES....YOUR LONG BATTLE IS OVER....I first began my Friendship with Mike during my short time in Fire Patrol*3 in 1968 where Mike formerly worked & our paths continued to cross for another 51 years.
 
Never had the pleasure of meeting the gentleman but had the pleasure of hearing him on the radio. Cool and calm. Rest In Peace Sir and God Bless you and yours.
 
What an amazing man! I had the pleasure of working with him and I will never forget him saying Hey "Junior".  RIP Brother

As "Memory Master" says, "I never met you but I listened to you doing your job for many years. Thank you for your service to the City of New York.
