Pemberton Mill Collapse and Fire, Lawrence MA

January 10, 1860: 

A five story textile mill in Lawrence MA collapsed and burried many of the occupants during the rescue operations a firefighters lantern broke and ignited an inferno. The collapse and fire killed over 120 people and injured more than 130.
