It is with deep regret the Chief?s Office of the Garden City Park Fire Department announces the Line of Duty death of 34-year veteran, Firefighter Thomas Regan as the result of injuries sustained in the line of duty. Firefighter Regan, while responding to a reported Carbon Monoxide Alarm on January 26 of this year, lost his footing and fell amongst the ice and snow conditions that morning. Firefighter Regan was transported to a local hospital shortly after by Garden City Park Fire Department Ambulance where he was unable to recover from critical injuries to his neck. FF Regan passed quietly this morning at Saint Francis Hospital with his family at his side.
