On 10-24-25 at 69 yrs of age.after a tough WTC battle...Appt 1978 & RET 2002 after 24 yrs OTJ....His Father Robert V. West Sr. was a RET FD NY CPT.
REST IN PEACE BROTHER.....PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES..........
Bob was appt. to ENG*210 in 1978 when we (R*2) were still on Carlton Ave in Qtrs. with 210....Bob walked in the door ready to do more....Many Fires running in with him when he was in SQ*1 ....& yrs later after he RET. Bob was a Friendly & Helpful Felllow at the Ft Totten Q.M.....he always came out of his office to say Hello & see what was needed.

It is with deep regret the department announces the passing of retired Firefighter Robert V. West Jr., who succumbed to his WTC related illness on Friday, October 24, 2025. Firefighter West served our great department for 24 years.
The following arrangements have been confirmed:
Visitation: Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Wednesday, October 29, 2025
2:00PM - 4:00PM

7:00PM - 9:00PM
