Rt. 95 CT. exit 16/17 closure

FYI, our son who is getting married Nov 04 in Southern CT. just became aware and advised us of a significant highway closure/detour.
It appears Rt. 95 between Exits 16 and 17 will be impacted.
Weekend #01 Friday,10/20/23 2000 hrs. until Monday 10/23/23 0600 hrs.
Weekend #02 Friday,11/03/23 2000 hrs. until Monday 11/06/23 0600 hrs.

Yes that is correct.
There was an article in the local newspaper in New London (The Day Newspaper) which featured a story about it titled:
"Accelerated bridge construction to cause delays on I-95 this Fall"
The Bridge over the Shetucket River between Exits 16 and 17 Norwalk/Westport line.

Thanks for the heads up. I am going to a niece's wedding October 20th; it is in Norwalk between Exits 16 and 17. Trip home will be interesting. I will probably take local streets and get on I-95 at Exit 18.
