Seagrave Marauder II Metal Roof boxes?

Not sure if this an old question but what are the metal big metal diamondplate boxes that sit on the roof of the newer Seagrave Marauder II engines used for and what's in 'em?  Is it firefighting/rescue gear or something else for apparatus function like HVAC, etc?

They were added to water rescue units on the older rigs, now standard on all rigs. No standard on what goes up there.
