Syosset NY (Nassau) Working Fire 1/1/23

On Sunday, January 1st at approximately 8:50a, the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Bristol Dr. 3rd Assistant Chief Sauberman [5803] was quickly on scene and transmitted a working fire with active fire in the basement of the house. Engine 585 was first due and stretched the initial line into the basement to extinguish the fire. In total, 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire with overhaul conducted by crews on scene including crews from Plainview, Jericho, Bethpage, and Hicksville. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Silver [5800]. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Text courtesy Over the Edge Photography.
