Uniondale NY (Nassau) Working Fire 6/22/22

The Uniondale Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Chester Street in the dead end off Hempstead Boulevard in the late afternoon hours of Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022. The fire was located on the second floor of a two-story private dwelling. North Bellmore was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 658. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put at least one hand line into operation. As a result, the main body of fire was quickly knocked down. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Uniondale First Assistant Chief Ellerbe [7501] had command of the incident.
