As we all know Brock Obama is in nyc this week and the traffic is a night mare and half the city is shut down . What are the operations for the fdny I saw fire boats posted all in the east river and brooklyn companies in manhattan and 500 pampers set up with a charged line can any one help me ?? 
 
I don't think 500 pampers will be anywhere near enough for all the politicians and diplomats expected for the UNGA.
 
Wow I need to proof read and learn to spell pampers i guess came out instead of pumpers lol. i like the fact that u guys broke my balls thank you. I was in a rush last night when I wrote it.


Can some one please help me out with the operations of what goes on at this event with the Fdny.
I did see A reserve engine  set up on 35 street and the FDR  with a Deacon station set up and also Fdny boats as well as police boats posted in the east river  from governors island to between the Brooklyn bridge and the manhattan bridge and cop cars on the shore lines. Also around the United Nations in the river? 

 
500 Pumpers will be operating around the area.
Multiple Decon stations around the area
FDNY will take over the roll as primary Fire agency within the complex while GA is in  session.

UN has it's own Fire Department which is the primary on normal days.

For security reasons you won't see too much information about what goes on.
 
In addition to Marine Units & Haz Mat Units there are several "Decon Task Force" s set up around the area each consisting of a BC ..Lad & 2 Engs to perform decon using a water spray corridor in case of a chemical attack.....one ENG on one side of the street & one on the other & a TL or Ladderpipe above all 3 utilizing fog streams to decon victims as they are herded through the corridor.....a long boring detail.
 
We take care of the infidels and morons that bring death to our people, providing medical care. But US vets have to beg and grovel to get care. Something is not just right!!! Take care of our own, screw the  infidels.

Agreed ...not something anyone would want to see executed but standing on the side of the street all tour get's old fast...i was involved w/these since 2002 when they first started....the first being at the Madison Square Garden 1 year anniversary of 9-11.... there has been more accomodation nowadays but for the first few years we stood in doorways during the rain or to get out of the sun...no food was provided etc...one spot we were placed at i got readings of 35 PPM on my CO detector just from the running rig's & passing traffic.....this type of Decon Standby takes place at many other large scale event's beside the UN Assembly. 
 
lots of aggrevation for a (your own conclusion). Personally I have no respect for potus, yes lower case. Fought for this country, my son did, and many members did.
 
Does the city bill them??????? Guess not: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Remember this when they want to cut companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I have seen pictures on the Internet from some of the decon task force set ups, the one I saw was a regular rear mount with the ladder pipe set up on it, probaly one of the only times the pipe comes out of the storage basket on top of the rig. They usually have small gator type utv's around that have a small pump, water, foam and a pair of hazmat firefighters. Detailed around the areas.
 
The rigs you see with a line stretched are there to wash diplo vehicles off if they are egged.  That's all.  If there was a CBRNE attack, they are too close to be of amy good and would be casualties themselves.  Mass decon in a CBRNE event is a huge problem and a FPL would have to be establish after an event, not prestaged.  So what you see is really just there as a big car wash.
 
I do think that they bill the feds for everything. 
They track all the money spent on it with codes in the payroll system.
