Units od PAPD

Hello,

What are the various units of the PAPD ?

The engine-white with red stripe, it is assigned to the PAPD or another service PANJNY ?

In this context what the different services are PANJNY ?

The white pumper with red strip is at the George Washington Bridge for any major incident on the bridge.

Where do they have a monorail that they need the monorail rescue unit for?

I've always thought those super-short tow trucks and they have were kind of cute and ugly at the same time.  I'm assuming they are so short, so they can maneuver through tight spaces in traffic?  Is anybody know how often, if ever, they use the firefighting equipment on these tracks?

There is a monorail system in Queens that runs from Sutphin Blvd. & Archer Avenue, Jamaica that goes directly to JFK airport. The short tow trucks are for manuverability on bridges and in tunnels.

Monorail Rescue is for Airtrain Newark.  Short tows are usually assigned to the tunnels, they can get in, get around traffic, fight small car fires, and tow disabled vehicles out.
