West Hempstead NY (Nassau) Working Fire 8/27/22

n the early morning hours of Saturday, August 27th, the West Hempstead Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a working fire. The fire was located on the number three side of a two-story peaked rook private dwelling with fire present on both floors. Firefighters stretched and operated a total of three hand lines and were able to keep the fire from extending further into the residence. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation. West Hempstead Chief of Department Andrew Brohm [7600] had command of the incident.
