All volunteer "Dustoff" crews evacuated around 900,000 souls, frequently at night and under heavy enemy fire. 90 pilots were killed and 380 wounded; 121 crew members KIA, 545 wounded.

A bill, the Vietnam War Congressional Gold Medal Act requiring two thirds of the US House and Senate, would award the Congressional Gold Medal to the "Dustoff" crew members. It has been introduced in the Capitol and is awaiting bipartisan agreement. This should be a no-brainer.

It should be, but we haven't really seen the Dem's and Republicans get along since Obama was in Office. Because a HOA in Richmond had the guts to tell a veteran who served in WW2, Korea and Vietnam that he couldn't fly the American Flag ON HIS OWN LAWN.
