Will fire trucks be forced to use Upper West Side bikepaths?

The entire article makes absolutely no sense!  The fire trucks will or will not use the bikepaths whether the commissioner says they can/should or not depending on traffic conditions.  The idea of parking in front of fire hydrants is absolutely ridiculous.  Maybe they should allow it in front of her home as a test for the next 30 years or so and see what she thinks!
