Congers NY - Haz Mat/Explosion/structure fire 6/24/26

0755 hrs. Report of chemical reaction and explosion at 125 Wells Ave Congers. Large 1 story commercial - pharmaceutical company. Evolved into a structure fire. Multiple lines stretched. Several in operation. Rockland county and Westchester county haz mat teams on scene. Multiple Mutual aid from: central Nyack, West Nyack, Nyack, valley cottage, Sparkhill, Stony Point, Pearl River, Haverstraw, new city, west Haverstraw, Mahwah NJ, and Tarrytown. As of 1100 still operating.

Initial run came in as a structural fire in a warehouse/ pharmaceutical manufacturer. Employees opened front door and had smoke. Well into it (maybe an hour or so?)there were a few explosions and fire sounded like it extended beyond the initial area. Initial ticket was congers, valley cottage for an engine, new city for a ladder and west haverstraw FAST. Escalated pretty quickly lol

I have a feeling they will be out there until sometime tommorow. Reminds me of the fire in the shooting range on Middletown Road in Pearl River a few years back when every department in Rockland rotated through except for 5 and 14 I think.
