Thanks that was before my time. I do remember the 55 FWD. the shops put a cover on the cab. There was a short time that 50 interchanged with 31 and they would meet at west farms and 31 would take the wooden aerial back to Throgg Neck.
When i was growing up in Throggs Neck in the 1970s Lad 50 had the wooden Aerial and a FWD tractor. If i remember correctly they got a metal aerial in the late 70s
i agree i remember buffing a job the day after the 77 blackout in a con ed transformer down near 132 st. We were very glad when Lt. Danny Cronin of E71, a good friend of my fathers, asked us to take a man back to qtrs to start the meal. It really smelled bad in all that heat

My Grandfather lived in Queens Village in the 70's. I know that E304 and L162 were first due. E301 and L 150 2nd due I know 326 and 160 were not yet formed. I believe E 251 Third due.
