As every rundown is, but technically it should be updated since we now know 291/140 were not first due, making the rundown inaccurate. Sorry for beating the dead horse here.

Where is this information from and how accurate is it? Some of these numbers seem to be a little too inflated to be true.

And meanwhile so many guys that are in the engine companies used to be EMT's. I believe the job has talked about finding a way for guys from EMS to keep their EMT card so they can provide a higher level of patient care if needed.

Well that wouldn't happen because when you get promoted, you go complete BC training for a few weeks. And yes, as people have already mentioned above, that is why an ABC is usually one of the senior captains in the division or someone on the BC list.

Adding a Squad to the 3rd isn't going to change any of this. All those run numbers you mentioned stem from EMS runs. And I'm not blaming EMS here. These problems stem from the 911 system/people calling for everything, which in turn negatively affect EMS and the fire side.

It's evident you don't understand how the fire department operates, let alone the FDNY. Have a good night.
