Fireboat Fire Fighter's 85th Birthday Celebration @ Mystic Seaport

I am planning on going; I live four miles away. I was on Firefiighter back in 1988 when the Fire Bell Club went on a cruise in New York harbor for the Firefighter's 50th anniversary.

    Firehouse replacement

I know it is not due for replacement anytime soon but the quarters of E 248/ B 41 on Snyder Avenue, or what I call the "New House", was opened in 1972 when we moved from Church Avenue. That means the "New House" is already 51 years old. Time flies. LOL.

    ANOTHER WAR YEARS VET PASSES.

I remember Richie as a probie at E 248 back in 1963. His brother and son were both on the job. Great guy. I forget where he was a LT but he spent several years at E 248. I rode there as an Auxiliary from 1964 to 1973 and he was there most, if not all, that time.
