what’s the process on determining the specs of a new rig? there’s a panel or a board side on what’s going to be built or do any of the firefighters have any say in this?
maybe get some of the convicts that are on good behavior to go out there and do that or maybe some individuals living off the system might be able to help contribute to society but that’s wishful thinking. I know there’s a few departments out there that run snowmobiles as paramedics excluding...
are the squad strategically placed or can they be swapped out with other engines, ladder companies that have more room so they can house their second piece or a larger apparatus?
thanks everybody for the responses and answering my questions I appreciate it but I do have one off-topic questions that is kind of related, but do any of the units have snowmobiles or snow cats
just curious on why such a special piece of apparatus would be stuck in a hydrant. I can see if they’re first due or right around the corner of the hydrant and they’re the fastest unit to get there but I really don’t see the purpose of having a squad taking a hydrant at all. I can see them doing...
Merry Christmas, 🎁🎄 seasons greetings, happy holidays, and 🥳 happy new year 🎊🎈🎆 , at the end of the day no matter who you are, or what you do, we all need you. thank you to all the first responders.
yes, great videos keep it up. but I still think their second piece can be a little more robust. Also, are squad consider to be paramedic level as well? last, but not least are they trained to handle tactical situations
received and understood I understand the whole incident command system. I just wondering if that’s how they’re being used and I understand now that they’re probably being utilized in that sort of aspect especially at the planning level. Thank you.
don’t understand what the roll of the chief of training and the chief of the fire Academy at a fifth alarm what would be their responsibility
also, please explain the concept of requesting an extra engine and an extra truck. why not just go straight to the second alarm after the 1075
squad companies are the most versatile units in FDNY. I don’t know why they don’t have the TSU TAC units as their second piece that would be great. definitely need more of those.
well, that’s so awesome but that see this thing do some super pumping without all the auxiliary units and boosters. this thing should be self-sufficient without any assistance that’s what I call a super Duper pumper if that’s what you would like to call it. Sorry just not a fan of all the...
The public calls them fire stations. The members/ firefighters usually call them fire houses because it is incense their home away from home. and then some countries it is their home actually and it’s a privilege to live there. You get paid to live somewhere. and you work for free.
