    The Telephone Company Fire

    My Dad responded with Engine 65.  Rescue 3 responded as well, and the next day, the Lt. on Rescue 3 Mike Maloney became LODD.  More than likely the Telephone Fire contributed to his demise.

    Engine 26 was temporarily disbanded in 1975 so they can't be the longest continuously serving firehouse or the longest continuously serving company.

    My Dad arrived at E-65 a few months after R-1 moved in and stayed until long after they left.
