When Battalions or Divisions give the report that they have “water on the fire”; is this information time stamped at the communications office and later published somewhere by the FDNY? I happen to believe that it is an important data point and feel it is becoming more widely used in the fire...

12/11/22: At approximately 08:45, reported fire at 18 Belden Court. Battalion 5 arrived on the scene reporting a fire in the basement. A working fire was transmitted, which brings in a mutual aid ladder company from Waterford, Submarine Base FD FAST, and Groton Ambulance in addition to all NLFD...

One injured member sustained a burn to the wrist and was released. The other was injured when a ceiling collapsed on him. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

Another fire for the south end of New London. This district (Engine 3) is mainly residential. Most of the homes are pre-1930’s, but obviously there are some raised ranches and newer homes sprinkled in on this dead end street. Initial assignment for reported fires in NL is all on-duty companies...
