Does NYPD no longer operate a tow truck fleet? They certainly did when I lived in the city and were not the least bit shy about towing entire blocks of cars and dropping them wherever any time Gossip Girl was filming in my neighborhood, sometimes over an hour before the posted no parking window...
One member of the Binghamton Fire Dept was lost and two others injured overnight at a fire at 1 Court St. A MAYDAY was transmitted reporting multiple members trapped following a partial structure collapse at the "vacant" building...
My buddy was just talking about this accident the other night, a rare catch of 52/52 house in action on video. Also always impressive to see how versatile those big wreckers can be but they definitely messed up that buses alignment something fierce yanking it out of there with the wheel turned over.
Certainly looks like a major miscalc on the PAT25 side, the AA flight was on an established and published glideslope approach to 33. The fact they called that they had the AA flight in sight and still kept on is beyond sad. I hope for comfort for all the families who have lost loved ones in what...
Are they still working this fire or is it down to watchline at this point?
Surprised to see that a satellite wasn't used for deluge purposes given the volume and ferocity of the fire. Those flames were white hot and ripping in Skyler and Johns videos!
Way off topic at this point but its nothing short of amazing that both CA and FL (and other states) continue to allow newbuilds in areas that have been wiped out by fires and hurricanes in recent decades, years and months. Insurance has been holding the line since but the legislatures regardless...

LODD was 25 year old with a year on the job, four other members hospitalized.

Id imagine there were quite a few folks on the Gettysburg, the E-2 and in the Carrier CIC who woke up the next day with freshly roto rootered bungholes and brand new ranks and plenty to think about until the Cod arrived to take them shoreside
Those videos had everything! Subway crazies, the usual crying baby on a train at 1AM for some reason, rats and the oh so familiar face of everybody who still has a long ride to go before home/work that just got a whole hell of a lot longer. Nice work.
No better way for the crane owner to enjoy xmas than a major fine because his on-call wouldnt answer! Hopefully Santa brought a new job down the chimney for that guy.
Messy operation for sure with all that diesel spraying everywhere from that height.
My question is with all the super-tall...
Didn't look like there was much other option the way that place was ripping when they got there, especially after the roof came down. Impressive work to get the house next door doused as quick as they did, looks like the wind was working hard to get that one involved too.
