Many of the NE Queens companies and a battalion were either at the fire or relocated to the Bronx. Companies from elsewhere in Queens were then relocated into NE Queens. I was surprised that the entire 326,160 & the 53 house was in the Bronx.

That is why there are whale watching boats leaving from Sheepshead Bay and the Jersey shore a few times a week! Whales have shown up even in the East River and well up the Hudson!
