    When I first started listening to FDNY it was on a multi-band radio. That was not easy, especially with all the activity in the mid-70s! At some point I bought a scanner from Lafayette Electronics(!), but always got my crystals at Stuart.

    At one point E 297,315, L 126 , 136 were staged at 223 St & 46 Ave with the 54 Batt and the trucks' SOC support vehicles. I'm right off the Cross Island & Northern Blvd, and it's been amazing to look at or hear about all the flooding within a short distance of me.

    Forest Park had some smaller fires recently. Hopefully there won't be any others, although we're not expecting rain for another week now. So many parks in Queens that are bone dry.
