Broadcastify now working.

Sorry, just checked and it shows as working but I'm only getting static.

Two 7-Alarms within one week, gees it's just like it was back in the "good old days" of "Boro Calls"  No pun intended!!

With the exception of 9/11/2001, I don't recall ever having responded to anything higher than a fifth alarm. It seems like 6th alarms and greater are common place now.

@FDNY
Per #FDNY Fire Marshals: Preliminary cause of today?s 7-alarm fire, 755 Riverside Dr. Manhattan was accidental, electrical, toaster. Smoke alarm present and operational.

does the cold weather have anything to do with the higher alarms ?  like more rehab type...?

all this action and unable to monitor! Oh well, still got Boston and Chicago! And it is warming up out here!

the cold effects the hydrants with many freezing or unoperational.  a simple 1 room job could turn into a whole apartment going and auto exposure if there are several hydrants out of service and the initial line is delayed.  there is alot of coordinating involved in relaying water, and communication can be an issue.
nyc hydrants are checked by the members in the spring and fall, noted if they are in service or out of service and if they drain.  many hydrants do not drain properly, so they could have water sitting in the barrell from a run in november when it was 45 degrees out,  a few months later you have a frozen hydrant.

Another reason not to open hydrants in the heat of the summer. The hydrant didn't drain properly, water in the barrel in July equals ice in January.

In an H type structure, which are the A, B, C, D wings that are referred to in the Fireground audio?
Thanks
