E274 is normally second due unless they were OOS/unavailable when the intial call went out.  Amazing all these years L167 is second due truck on that box - that's quite a haul from Auburndale

There was a lot of activity in the area around this time so there were some strange assignments:

First - @18:51 E274 reported a 10-18 for Box 4771 at Willets Point Blvd and 150th Street - L129 is normally second due truck on that box which may  explain why they weren't assigned to Box 4455

Second - the initial assignment for Box 4455 was 2&1 with B52 immediately requesting a second truck. The archive tapes didn't stay on the box the entire time but it is possible the third engine wasn't assigned until the 10-75 call by E273 which occurred about a minute or so after the first dispatch transmission by Disp 158.

Third - around the same time Box 4519 for 18-29 123 St College Point was transmitted and B46 was assigned with a 3&2 response. B46 would normally be the 10-75 Chief on Box 4455 and that is why B50 was assigned as the 10-75 Chief

Fourth - E274 became available and was assigned on the 1075 for Box 4455.

Fifth - L167 used to be second due on Box 4455 even after L152 moved to Utopia Pkwy and the LIE in 1960.  Based on what Catry is saying that appears to be changed now.

It seems  that a lost was going on in the Flushing,  and Whitestone area all at the same time.  Thanks for the great background info efd274.

Thanks - that makes a lot of sense as to why L129 was never assigned to the box
