L169 on a different box? Normally 1st due truck here
 
Rescue 2 box, they were 10-84. Squad 1 also 10-84 here and at Box 977, not sure if they were 2nd or 3rd due but they were at both
 
From quarters, Rescue 5 is closer than Rescue 2. 8.9 miles bridge/highway vs over 10 miles across Brooklyn.

They should get in much faster - VN Bridge and Belt Parkway.
 
I thought it was the eastern part that determines either 2 or 5.
Anything east of ocean parkway is rescue 2.

coney island ave is one thoroughfare east of ocean parkway so its an R 2 box

I also thought it was Ocean PKWY that divides the two on the Coney Island peninsula. West of Ocean PKWY, Rescue 5. East of Ocean PKWY is Rescue 2.

I'm Sure You Guys Know Better Than I. It Looks Like at least a Couple of Us went w/ what Actually Makes Better Sense (!).

I Remember being o/s Many Years Ago of a 3rd (maybe 4th) Alarm on Brighton 10 Ct. East of Coney Isl. Ave &
1/2 Block South of Neptune Ave. Rescue 2 was In Fact o/s. I Thought that by this many Yrs. later, FDNY would recognize
thar R.5 gets In Much Quicker. :unsure:
