Just wondering if anybody is keeping count of all the 10-45's around the city since the first of the year?

Maybe 30 or more years ago a 10-45 meant a fatality, but that has all changed with the codes, originally 1, 2, 3 with 4 added recently; only the 1's are dead.

Most everyone in the job hears 10-45 and incorrectly considers it a death.

Haha yea thats true. Your 100% right. 10-45 truly means a fire RELATED injury, not necessarily death. Its either code1,blacktag; code2,redtag; code3, yellowtag; code4, greentag. Those are all the markings off a triage card.

the problem with trying to keep a count is that for a code 2,3,4 for example, if the person passes away at the hosptial hours, ?
