Anybody ever post the actual rundown at 3397? G-man, you got a card on this? Under BARB's actual street miles, don't think E81 gets near this box on the first alarm.

Not looking for fight or any other issue here however the bronx barb has been implemented and yes there are many changes good and bad. Box 3397 is Briggs and E 197st. the first alarm is E-79,48,75,81  L-37,56 Bn 27. this is direct from the fdny intranet barb, I also checked and E-81 was assigned and operated as did all other units. G-Man has cards that are of great value but times have changed and some boxes as well so his cards may not reflect changes. Again this is straight info and not looking to cause problems. If any of you have access to a firehouse with friendly officers please go in and ask to view the barb assignments it may be an interesting read.

Well then, there you have it. I stand corrected by the man with the BARB. Wrong again, I am, just as my ex-wife always said.

My grandmother lived on that block of Briggs Ave when I was a kid. There was a house fire one time. Right on the corner was a barn where the chauffeurs took the horses while the engineers hooked up the steamers to the hydrants.  4 engines and 3 trucks showed up, and just like G-man's old card, none were from Bailey Ave.

But things do change. No more horses, of course, and 48/56 and 75/33 moved to the south. 81/46 and 88/38 didn't move though...hmmm...maybe the Concourse moved to the east?

Right around the corner at Bainbridge and 198 St, (Box 3508) STARFIRE used to send in 79,48,75, 81 and the corresponding trucks. My friendly officer with the BARB showed me it is now 79, 48,88,75.

Things do change, for the better, hopefully.

And thanks for the correct info, 8146.

If you look at any of my "OLD" (pre-War Year) cards you can see that E81/L46 were usually relocating on anything over a 2nd alarm. Other relocators were E41, E42, E43, E50, E83, E88, E90, E94, L19, L29, L32, L38, L48 & L50

Excellent point G-man. 81 often went to 75 on multiples in this direction.

And L46 went to L33, L37 & L39. In fact, I have dozens of cards where L46 would normally be 1st due with E81 on 2nd alarm but were relocated to L39.
