11/10/12 Hempstead NY 3rd Alarm w/Collapse & Mayday

2 1/2 story PD, heavy fire throughout. Multiple hand lines operated. HFD TL-1 was operating in front. All hands heavily engaged. M/A units on scene included, West Hempstead, South Hempstead, Uniondale, Baldwin (White Plains L-33-FEMA truck), Franklin Square, Rockville Centre, Roosevelt, Mineola. Lot of work for everyone. Gone to exterior attack; status of Mayday not known.

Mayday is ok.  He went through the stairs when they collapsed.  He climbed a ladder out of the hole and was checked out at the hospital.
