LOD : William F McGuire Jr. It has been 24 yrs since Mugsy McGuire died in the line of duty as the result of injuries received while operating at a 2 alarm fire on Temple Street. Mugsy sustained serious head injuries on the 18th of December and was transported to a local hospital and transferred to Mass General where he passed away. A funeral mass was held on the 23rd of December where Thousands of FireFighters attended in sub freezing weather.
