That's more then I know about Queens & Brooklyn

Come on, Mike; Brooklyn is easy.  All you have to know is the difference between 3rd Street, 3rd Avenue, East 3rd Street, West 3rd Street, South 3rd Street, North 3rd Street, Brighton 3rd Street, Brighton 3rd Lane, Brighton 3rd Place, Brighton 3rd Walk, Brighton 3rd Road, Paerdagat 3rd Street, and Flatlands 3rd Street.  I am not sure about Kingsborough 3rd Walk.

Just as easy as Queens. ;D ;D ;D

Try buffing Boston, you HAVE to have the Box. There is a Washington St in downtown, Roxbury, Brighton, West Roxbury, Rosindale. There is NO GRID SYSTEM. Mass Ave in downtown, South End, Roxbury, Dorchester. The first two digits ??XX will help you out. 6XXX East Boston, 7XXX Southie, 5XXX Allston/Brighton, 1XXX North End, Beacon Hill. 17XX is Roxbury/Dorchester.Will help anyone on box locations/areas. Best damn site available to those who are interested in FDNY/Other depts. Glad to be able to post and help those with questions! Stay low, stay safe, and come home safely.

Brooklyn, Queens, Boston. Were I live I pay my taxes to Norwich, but I don't have the Norwich Fire Dept respond. The Yantic Fire Dept is first due, but the Occum Fire Dept that is second due, would probadly get there quicker because they are closer. But if I really want a closer fire company to respond, its the  Baltic Fire Dept, which is actually in the Town of Sprague, who could probadly get to the house before anybody else.

I'm just glad I don't live on 3rd Ave, South 3rd St, North 3rd St, East 3rd St, Brighton 3rd St, West 3rd St, Brighton 3rd Rd, Brighton 3rd Lane. Because its hard enough to figure out who goes 1st or 2nd due, who would be 3rd due.

So "Who's" on first, and "I Don't Know" is on second. And we sure can't figure out 3rd.

And all this extra concern because Mike doesn't know much about Brooklyn or Queens. He can't say we didn't try to help.

I know this was explained at some point in the past.  Could someone go over how the street numbering system in Queens came to be?

Thanks!
